Through a study abroad program in Berlin, Germany, students were prompted to create banknotes for Koenig and Bauer for their Equinox 24 Event. This was a sponsored project by Koenig and Bauer with Art Center. Tasked to create a universal banknote, with an original theme, graphics, security features, and a digital tie in. Students also were prompted to design three different substrates for the money, paper, composite (mix), and polymer. “The Magic of Light” banknote is inspired by the beauty and power of light, and was designed to highlight it in all of it’s glory.

This Design “The Magic of Light” was purchased by Koenig and Bauer to acquire its intellectual property and future rights.
